Spring Baby Shower

Last weekend, some friends and I hosted a shower for our buddies Kiley and Jeff as they get ready to welcome their little guy this summer. It was a GORGEOUS spring day and we hung out by the hosts’ pool and ate burgers and drank wine. I had the fun task of doing some decorating for the shower and ended up taking the bunting trend and running with it.

I had the pleasure of calling the grandmamas and asking for photos of Kiley and Jeff in their smaller days. Baby A is the first grandchild on both sides, so they were definitely eager to share and excited to come to the shower. It was super fun going through the photos—ah, the 70s. I picked my faves and plopped them in some IKEA frames.

We also did a clothesline of teeny onesies. Everything is so mini. I die.

Jen and Brandi put together quite a spread of delicious nibbles. I won’t tell you how many pimento cheese sandwiches I ate… And Jen carved this baby carriage out of a watermelon. (I carried a watermelon??) How cute is that?

Outside, Shannon set up a onesie decorating station (more bunting!),which was quite a hit! Our guests got quite creative, though I think Taylor won the prize with his Yankees jeronesey. (The Dad-to-be is a huge Yanks fan.)

So, yeah. While I don’t see Dwell Studio calling us up any time soon, it was still a fun diversion that even the men could get into. And there was beer. Which always helps.

Congrats to Kiley and Jeff! Can’t wait to meet the little booger very soon.

Nice job! I especially love the onesie and socks as decorations! I might have to steal that idea. :)

Super cute – love the clothesline and the bright blue-framed pictures.

My friend Beth would like the recipe for the blue punch, please :-)

Thanks! I will work on getting the recipe for Beth. I didn’t make it. I do know it involves Blue Hawaiian punch.
