I got new pillows!

My first chevrons. I’m so proud. I got them from eziba. Which sadly, no longer exists. But, their arrival brought to light a more dire need besides throw pillows. (I know, hard to imagine there could be one.) What the heck are we going to put OVER the sofa?

Even my intentionally shallow framing doesn’t disguise the fact that this giant wall keeps staring at me. In my Antique Factory trip, I mentioned I was thinking about putting a large scale photograph here. I still love this idea, so I thought I’d play around with a few images to see what’s working.

First, the Slim Aarons photo I love.

I love this scene. Probably because I could camp out by that pool for pretty much the rest of my life. But I’m not digging the yellow.

In this one, I really love the negative space and the pops of the snow jackets. I am not a huge fan of snow, however. Or the price tag.

Back to summertime. This is Mykonos. Melikey.

An auditorium? There’s something funny about hundreds of empty seats above the sofa. I’m gonna sit here, k?

This was shot in Palm Springs. Little Pink Houses for you and me.

Cuba, perhaps?

Ok… my champagne taste isn’t going to get me anywhere. So, let’s try some photos we actually own. How about Costa Rica?

Or, what about a shot from our engagement session?

Or our photo booth props from the wedding?

What do you like? Do you have any great photo sites or photographers I should check out? Maybe I should ask one of my talented friends to shoot something for us… Or finally invest in a DSLR. (Yes!)

What is your weekend bringing? Mine likely involves s’mores and nature. Yee haw!

LOVE all of these. Nice selections, m’lday.

Engagement sesh is my fave though. Love the pink house too.

I’m actually liking the photobooth props, but I do like the engagement pic idea or the Costa Rica pic with a little color correction. The super-sized photo idea, regardless of the pic, is really working for me. What about a black and white pic?

What about a Paris street scene – engagement memory.
Like the engagement one and the faux photo booth props.
BUT don’t forget you are married to an artist! Have a wonderful large waffle painting!
Can’t wait to see your cool pillows. and YOU!

Love both the cuba photo and wedding booth props. The others just don’t do it for me.

Soooooooo excited to have come across your blog!

Thanks, Lindsey! I’m glad to see people are liking our photos vs. just the pros’. Happy you stopped by!

I was thinking the “american gothic” wedding pic would be good ;)

I like the engagement photo but perhaps IN black and white format. Also like the empty auditorium, but don’t know if y’all would tire of it after years or decades. Little Pink Houses is always good.

Katie R-W, my talented friend and yours, has mad skills but also a little one and perhaps not as much time to devote to her craft, but hit her up on Facebook!

Found your blog today and have spent the better part of two hours with it. I love Sunday.

And I absolutely adore the wedding props photo above the couch. It balances sentimentality with fun – and looks smashing, to boot!
