Jenny, I’ve got your number
We’ve been working on a little project here for, oh, freaking-EVER.

You guessed it! We’re remodeling our bathroom!
Kidding. I really wanted to share it with you this week, but my computer was having some issues yesterday and I’m on a loaner—sans my files. I’m actually freaking out a bit in fear of losing everything—it shouldn’t really be a concern as it’s a wi-fi connectivity problem and not a hard drive problem, but still. I don’t like not having access to my stuff! I am a Virgo, after all.
I will just preface, in hopes that you will come back and see what we did, that this was probably the largest pain in the a** project we have tackled to date. It spanned at least 6 weekends and MAY have been launched across the backyard in anger.
On an unrelated note, I have been gradually eating a port wine cheese ball for the past 4 nights. Diets are so 2011.
We have family coming in town tonight and are heading to Tennessee for a couple days in the morning, so I wish you a happy early weekend. Hope the first week back wasn’t so terrible. Though it kind of was, wasn’t it?

From one Virgo to another…I TOTALLY understand your consternation about not having your own computer. : ) Good luck getting it back, just the way you like/need it. Enjoy the family visit.
Thanks, Monika! Always nice to meet a fellow Virgo.
Yes, it was!
Totally get your computer anxiety/pain. We just got a wireless back-up system that backs everything up automatically all the time. Cane realized I was just never going to become the kind of person who backs up my stuff. Enabling? Maybe. Do I care? No.
Happy/safe travels!
Oooh…I may have to look into this system. I am all over the place with backups—some on a hard drive, some in the “cloud”. I vow to get it together…someday.
8,675,309 = the number of hours you’ve worked on this project?
Feels like it…
I’m fairly certain I know what the headboard/footboard looks like!
I’ve been nursing a port wine cheese ball for a week now. I was so disgusted with myself… until now. Thanks, Molly. Oh and can’t wait to see the project.
xo
I just ate a 1/4 of a box of Triscuits withOUT port wine cheese. January is a cruel, cruel month.
We just arrived, and our guest room, aka, Sadie’s room is absolutely smashing!! You should go into interior design as a new career. Love the furniture arrangement, the wall color, the knick knacks from Paris, etc. etc. We may stay here and not go to Tennessee.
We are currently in the process of a basement redo as well! I can totally feel your pain. I think ours has been in process since last Spring when we sold our bed and started sleeping on a mattress on the floor (hello, college students!). We finally have {some} furniture in there but nothing else is done. Paint hopefully goes up this weekend! Can’t wait to see what you’ve been working on.
Hope you made some progress this weekend. They’re always too short for me!
