Happy Valentine’s Day! Truth be told, I’ve never really been all that into this holiday. How do you feel about it?  I did manage to sneak out and buy a gift for Taylor.  But tonight, we both happen to have separate engagements. Him, a soccer game. Me, a photography class.

So, based on that idea, I hope you do something you love today.

In case you need some ideas, here’s what I’m loving lately:

- my camera and 50mm lens

- the TV show Smash

- yoga DVDs

- our fireplace

- winterberry hand lotion from Williams-Somoma

- early blooming camellias

- Kristen Bell’s Auto-Tuned Sloth Story

- Taylor’s exploding art studio in our basement

- fresh sake perfume

- ghetto gold hoop earrings

- my awesome camel blazer

- surprise plans for the weekend with the kids

Have a great day, friends. SMOOCHES.

I’m with ya – I never really got “into” Valentine’s Day – but I love the idea of doing something I love! Methinks it will be a long run and more espresso. Not sure about the hubs. . .

Thanks for the link to the yoga dvd. I have been looking for a good beginners one that I can do at home.

I got the YogaWorks one at Target on a whim, but I really like it! The Beginners is fairly simple and relaxing. Body Slim is a little more intense and kicked my butt last night, but they are still fun. Congrats on your engagement, btw!

Thanks for the gift! You’re super-thoughtful. @Annie, in that there box is a big ol’ French press like the ones they serve poolside in the mornings at the Ace Hotel in Palm Springs. Yay! I’ll save the run for when I’m in better shape. @Debbie, the weirdest thing about these yoga DVDs is that there 45 minute workouts, but I could swear they only take 15-20. You’ll be sweating, but they’re very relaxing.

    Since you asked :-) here’s how I feel/what I’m doing with regards to V-day:

Like you, the sweetie and I have different agendas. Instead of arbitrarily forced romance with him, I’ll be taking my daughter to a chick flick–which sounds way more fun.

Appreciate your sane approach to this holiday. And so glad the email thing is being fixed!

How sweet is your daily love list?

Enjoy your movie! And I pray this email fix works or I do not know what else to do…
