Quatrefoil Decor

April 30, 2012

I *finally* ordered some wedding photos which caused a little picture frame shopping spree at Homegoods. My favorite one is this quatrefoil frame.

We’ve used this shape in other places in our house. It’s in our duvet cover:

We attempted to paint a quatrefoil stencil on our dining room walls, but Kristen did a MUCH better job in a client’s nursery.

Other quatrefoil goodness? I love the print on the backside of these bookcases. The turquoise foo dogs are pretty awesome, too.

Quatrefoil tile may seem a bit trendy, despite the fact that it’s a pattern that’s been around since the middle ages, if not before then. But boy, this is pretty.

I totally want to sink my toes into this rug. And then get rid of it 1 week later when it’s grubby and infested with hair and Cheez-its.

And you know my love for sconces.

The frame found a home on our skirted library table in the living room.

Are you a fan of the quatrefoil? Think we could come up with a more pretentious name that quatrefoil? Doubtful.

New reader – love your blog!

I’m a newlywed as well, and when we got our print proofs from our awesome photographer… I went on a Supermarket Sweep-style picture frame shopping spree at HomeGoods and Ikea. So your post cracked me up. Perhaps it is a post-wedding ritual…

    You know, bitches *love* pillows…

Well done on your first real sewing project. I am a novice seamstress myself, after having attempted both curtains and a pillow for my son’s room! Next up, slipcovers!?!
